Our Facilities

We are a busy and modern community hall in the village of Tylers Green, near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire serving mainly the population of Tylers Green and the neighbouring village of Penn.

The hall has been completely refurbished in recent years and provides a base for many activity and social groups. It is a popular venue for family gatherings and children’s parties. (please note other than guide dogs, animal related events are not permitted) 

As well as two main multi-function rooms, a meeting room and attractive foyer, the hall has a well-equipped kitchen and a separate bar.

It is wheelchair friendly and includes nappy-changing facilities, modern, clean toilets, separate changing rooms and a safe outdoor play area for younger children.

Free wi-fi is available for hall users.

The hall office is staffed between 9.00 and 12.00 every weekday morning.

Tylers Green Village Hall is a registered charity.

Ray Bradley Hall

Measuring 16.5m (54ft) long by 8.6m (28ft) wide, the Ray Bradley Hall has a stage at one end and separate serving counters to the kitchen and the bar.

It has a wooden, spring floor and flexible lighting, and has a capacity for up to 150 people.

It has an automatically controlled projection screen and projector which can be linked to your computer. It also has a hearing loop and PA system.

This is the only room that can accommodate a bouncy castle for children’s parties.

Noise limiters are fitted to ensure our neighbours are not disturbed.

Penn Room

Measuring 11.75m (39ft) long by 6.6m (22ft) wide the Penn Room adjoins the Ray Bradley Hall and has access to the bar /small kitchen at one end.

It has a capacity of up to 70 people and is fitted with an automatically controlled projection screen. A portable projector is also available for use in the Penn Room.

Barnes Room

Measuring  4.75m (15ft) long by 5.7m (19ft) wide the Barnes Room is available for meetings of up to 20 people.

It is equipped with permanent and portable whiteboards and has a separate hot drink/sink facility. A large table, which can be split into smaller tables, is in the centre of the room.

A portable projector is also available for use in the  Barnes Room.

Reception

The reception is shared by all hall users.

Reception comprises of comfortable armchairs and small tables.

Kitchen


The kitchen has access to the Ray Bradley Hall and the reception.

It has ample fridge and freezer space ,a six-ringed gas hob and double oven; a hot-plate servery; a microwave, dishwasher, and a large working surface. Urns and kettle are also available as are cups and saucers and a variety of crockery, including children’s melamine tumblers and small plates.

Please note: cutlery is not provided.

Bar / Small kitchen


The bar/small kitchen has access to the Ray Bradley Hall and the Penn Room.

It has a chiller, kettle, microwave, glass washer and a limited number of wine and beer glasses as well as cups, saucers and plates.

Stage

The Stage overlooks The Ray Bradley Hall, with some access space behind.

Play area


A small, enclosed play area – ‘Oliver’s playground’ – with a fixed seesaw, toddlers’ climbing frame and slide.

Access  to the play area is from the Ray Bradley Hall only.

Tables and chairs

Tables and chairs are included in your booking.

We have 6ft rectangular tables which seat eight, and 5ft circular tables which seat eight to 10.

The chairs are comfortable, sturdy and padded, some with arms, some without.

There are children’s tables and chairs available.

SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AGED 5 AND UNDER.

There are two high chairs.

Car parking

 

There is  a private hall car park for a number of vehicles outside the hall.

Should the car park be full, hirers will need to use space available in surrounding streets, being mindful to our neighbours.
