8th September 2023

We are very grateful to the Lords Group Foundation who have recently awarded us a grant. We will be using the money to replace and update some of the heavier tables we have, which in turn will help our hirers. In addition to this we are planning to get some extra round tables for the Ray Bradley hall which also means less furniture removing each week! These may sound little changes but will have a positive impact to all our hirers whether it is a regular class or a children’s birthday party it will help the community of all ages.

23rd August 2023

If you have not already heard, we have recently launched an exciting new event ‘The Cinema’. On the second Tuesday of each month.

Doors open at 2pm for tea and cake with the light hearted film starting at 2.30pm. As with our other community events, it is free but we do ask for donations to help self-fund the licensing fee which needs to be paid each time we show a film. We are grateful to Village Care who will be supporting us with this event. To help with cake requirements please book your place via the office.

27th January 2022

CAN YOU HELP?

We are looking for a group of Mum’s / Carers to help run this Toddler group on a Thursday morning!

The group has been a part of the village for over 40 years, and we hope to see it continue….

Could you help or run things going forward?

What’s involved?

It is a lovely group with great toys (big and small), refreshment facilities, funds in the bank and the offer of a grant.

It’s fun, easy, friendly and a great place for parents to meet each week and chat over coffee whilst their young children play!

The group runs each Thursday from morning from 9:30am – 11:30am during term time, with set-up starting from 9am.  The committee is responsible for set-up and pack-away, providing refreshments and organizing activities for the children.

It’s a small commitment but very worthwhile. Please do get in touch if you can help! Thank you!

NHS Track and trace is available on each room door for those who wish to use, it is advised but no longer compulsory.

Any person who has had Covid-19 symptoms within the last seven days – or if anyone in their household has had symptoms –  must not enter the hall.  If anyone develops symptoms within seven days of leaving the hall they must use the Test, Track and Trace system to alert others with whom they have been in contact, and inform the hirer of the activity/event they attended in the hall.

The hall is thoroughly cleaned each weekday morning by our own cleaner.

Hand sanitisers are provided at the entrance and both exits and cleaning equipment is located in the Main Hall and the Penn Room.
